Chichen Itza I am a professor of Economics at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Japan. Additionally, I serve as the director of the Public Finance Program, where I train public officials from customs and revenue offices across various countries.
My research focuses on labor market inequality, migration, and empirical finance. Recently, I have been studying the impacts of trade policy, trade wars, and resource booms on firms and labor markets in developing countries.
